For your consideration is this gorgeous Ludwig Sky Blue Sparkle 5 pc set
Here are the specs:

  • 8x12", 8x12", 16x16", 14x22" + 5x14" matching snare drum
  • Transition Badge on all 5 pieces
  • This set is a factory matched set. All African Mahogany shells w/ solid maple reinforcement rings. Arguably the best shells Ludwig ever produced. The tone and sustain is unbelievable.

8x12" Tom Toms :
The bearing edges are in good/excellent condition. Sky Blue Pearl finish is in excellent condition. It shows no fading and there are not significant scratches or scuffs to describe.  All original hardware. The hardware's chrome is in VG/Exc condition. Original Black felt muffler is present on both tom.
Both grommets are unmolested, Badges sit flat against the surface of the shell.
The toms features  almost new Remo Emperor clear head on the batter side and a new Remo Emperor clear head on the resonant side.
Both toms sport Chrome over Brass hoops.

16x16" Floor Tom:

The bearing edge looks in VG/EXC condition. Interior shows some residue stains (maybe glue stains) a 16" written in chalk and some scratches on the mahogany. Please refer to pictures. Blue sparkle wrap is in excellent condition, with almost no defects. There aren't any date stamps on the interior. The hardware is all original and in VG condition. Black muffler is present. The badge is flat and firmly attached, but the grommet shows no indications of being tampered with. This floor tom features a like new Remo Emperor head on the batter side and a brand new Remo Emperor clear  head on the resonant side.
The drum sports Chrome over Brass hoops.

14x22" Bass Drum:

The bearing edges looks in VG/EXC on both the beater and resonant side . The Mahogany interior looks good with very few normal signs of wear. There aren't any date stamps. There's indication of some repair professionally made to the edged of the center hole where the double tom holder bracket is located. Looks like the veneer delaminated somehow (maybe by rough use) and the edges of the perforation where retouched with wood putty. Again the repair looks and feels professionally made. The bracket and tom holder sit firm once installed and there's no wobbling or rattling. The hardware looks in very good condition, with mild signs of pitting/rust, mainly located on the rare double mount. (this is the very first double tom holder ever produced by Ludwig)
The Sky Blue Pearl finish shows only a few and very mild scuffs. There's no lifting or any eye sore spot to describe.
The bass drum features an original Ludwig Weathermaster heavy head on the resonant side (the modern type, Not the vintage one) in VG/Exc condition, and a clear Remo Pinstripe head on the batter side in Like New cond.
One hoop (Batter side) Has a couple of tiny holes (I'd say the previous owner installed there some kind of protection to prevent the bass drum pedal rash)

Please pay close attention to the pictures as they show the exact condition of this item.
