Ludwig Classic 60's Silver Sparkle Keystone Badge 3 PC Drum Set
Out of the BUG's shop is this gorgeous looking 60's era Ludwig Set
16x16" Floor Tom
14x22" Bass Drum
9x13: serial #153049. Silver sparkle wrap in good condition but evenly faded. It shows a few random darker specks. There are no extra holes. The hardware is all original and in good condition for its age. It does present some mild rust/pitting in some of the lugs/hoops. They could be further treated to make them look pristine. This tom features a Remo Weatherking Ambassador batter heads on both sides. Both in very good condition.
16x16: serial # 156185. Silver sparkle wrap in good condition but evenly faded. It shows a few random darker specks and some lighter scuffs. No seam lifting. There are no extra holes on the shell. This floor tom features a Remo Weatherking vintage Emperor head on the batter side and a Remo Weatherking Ambassador clear head on the resonant side, also in VG condition.
14x22" serial # 561860. The silver sparkle wrap is in Good condition but evenly faded. This bass drum was originally a virgin one, but the previous owner installed a tom holder. In order to do that holes were drilled. Looking at the area it looks professionally done and all the hardware is era correct, even the tom holder (Second generation. double tom holder). The hardware looks in overall good condition. There is some rust on some of the claws and spurs (nothing serious), but further cleaning could bring them back to their original shine. The bass drum comes with an original Ludwig Weather master heavy head on the resonant side in VG cond. and an Aquarian Performance II on the batter side in good condition.
Based on the serial numbers, this set isn't a factory match. The tom and floor tom are but the bass drum is slightly from a different year, however they are all Keystone 60's era and the finishes match nicely.
